About Melanie

Known as the Diana artist for her 101 portraits, Melanie and American Composer Craig Cervantes collaborated on a project to bring their music and art together. Craig’s symphony and Melanie’s portraits were filmed to commemorate the 20^th anniversary of Diana’s passing and the joint tribute was produced as a DVD. A live multi-media orchestral concert with Southampton University Symphony Orchestra was then held at the Turner Sims.

Since completing the paintings of Diana some time ago, Melanie is now painting Rock Stars and Actors. When not painting she enjoys walking, travel, time with family and friends, champagne and having fun!

What I really enjoy is the expression and freedom I get when painting, no matter what the weather is doing or how I'm feeling I can always use it to my advantage when working on a piece
